Trade: 6000l For C3100
« on: December 04, 2005, 04:10:35 am »
Hi everyone!

Nothing could be better than owning 2 sl-6000l's right?   Well, after keeping a spare unit due to the increasing rarity of these guys, I think that it may be better to expand my portfolio instead. I would like to trade my backup unit (like new, bought off ebay not long ago) for a lightly used c3100. Most people on this board know the features of both models backwards and forwards, so I don't  need to explain why I want to try a different model. The two retail for the same price (or one higher than the other depending on the retailer), so I think it's a fair trade. I'd like to get a cf wifi card too (for the 3100) and would trade an additional 1g san disk cf that works in the 6000.

So I'm looking for a friendly person to trade with, I haven't traded gear online yet before. I'm located in Arizona and probably looking to trade with someone stateside to keep it simple. I can even hand-deliver to some places in California, as I'll be driving through in two weeks.

A Z for a Z anyone? Or is it gonna have to end up on ebay?

rollfaster,

If you don't get any offers soon, the smart thing is definitely to ebay it.  I've sold two brand new SL-6000L's on ebay in the last 2-3 weeks and one brought in $589 and the other $622.  Since you can buy a brand new SL-C3100 from pricejapan.com for $550.00 (that includes the delivery fee- well it was for me- From Tokyo to me in North Carolina) it was much more appealing for me to go that route. The only caveat being that you have to do the english conversion yourself (which I found to be hilariously easy and I'm certainly not God's gift to Linux handheld devices).  The instructions are easily had from several sites just do a search and you'll find the info. Or alternately you could flash it to Cacko or pdaXrom.
But ya never know, someone might take you up on the offer!

Wishing you and yours a Happy Holiday!,

I guess that is a good idea neuroshock.

I will post my ebay auction here once I get it set up, in case anyone is interested.
