I found a much cheaper and current alternative.  It's very similar to the iRiver.

Thanks for the link to Venier.    Since I think I also located a  possible adapter kit with mini-A 5-pin female I thought I'd share it, although the Vernier $5 plus shipping looks pretty good.
I found the following possibility (also available in 6 foot length?) which looks interesting:
