They've got an IPK for a 5500. Details are somewhat scarce - the PDF says it runs on Opie, probably X11. And that it isn't an emulator, however that works.

It says it runs on an OpenZaurus bootstrap flash image (bot opie) - the bootstrap image contains no GUI and is a terminal login.

It appears that the Einstein program comes with its own X11 server (or uses the OpenZaurus one, or a patched version) and is installed on top of the bootstrap image.
