Mplayer And My 6000l
« on: February 27, 2006, 12:07:15 am »
Ok so most of my office is running fairly new axims.  And this last week or two they have been boasting the merits of the windows handheld.  My 6000l makes a good showing in almost everything and beats out the axim in some places.  But in the area of video playback I am just coming up short and im convinced its user error.  I have read tons of threads about encoding video, and Im sure i have a good handle on it.  But picking out a version of mplayer and the command line switches i need to get the best playback just seem to elude me.  So before we have our next staff meeting i thought i would turn to the fine people here in this forum to help sort out the best setup for my 6000l.

Thanks

there is a video on the 6k playback thread....  a good mplayer is listed there.
I think maslovsky has one the 6k can use on the cacko site.

encoding: use dixv..or ffmpeg in avidemux2.

soemwhere I have stuff like gab74's conf and a good static mplayer.  post again if zmovie kino and the cacko site aren't helpful and I'll dig around.

you using pdaxrom? sharprom?  a fast kernel?
