Info About External Batteries!
« on: March 25, 2006, 05:39:29 am »
Hello ppl!
I have an external battery to charge and use my Z more!

Its a:
P to GO - DIATEC
input V: 5v dc
input current : 1.5A min
output V: 5v dc
output C: 1.5A
4000mAH

I think that it cant charge my Z to 100% when Im using it(charging while use the zaurus). I pluged it when OFF and leave it until the charge led went off but when I tryed to use it with the extrernal battery ON the charge led also turned on! Is this ok? And after that I used it for an hour without the charging level reach 100%!

just leave it there for awhile, the last 10% takes the longest as the charge curve is not linear but a curve

if it is full and you remove the the plug and put it back in the light always goes on and if it is running i belive the PDA still runs off the battery and charges the battery at the same time so pulling out the plug dosent turn the PDA off, this means the charging light will be on

when is on then you wont get 100% unitll you turn it off and leave it plugged in for awhile, ie a cople of mins then it should turn off

if you are really worried then just look at the output of the apm commend, its probelly at 99%

i wouldnt worry about it at all your probelly only losing 30 seconds of battery life
