I need to use the ar command to unpack a .deb package but I dont have it installed on my Zaurus. Where can I get it?

The best thing I can tell you to do if you want to get it done and over with... Copy it to a desktop machine running linux and extract it there then copy it back to the Zaurus...
quick and easy until someone comes up with a package...

it should be in "binutils" package (it works on my Z running beta3)

i wrote a perl script to convert .deb files into .ipk files without requiring ar.
its in my ipk-tools package
