40 seconds to fire up firefox before widow appears, then another 12 before default page appears
15 seconds for www.cnn.com
9 for www.slashdot.org

at 471, 15 seconds to launch, plus 6 more before page.

I\'m on 760 pX w/ firefox now.  full featured, but slow[er than opera].

however, this is all I needed.   No more need for QT opera anymore.

I find it faster than konquerer embedded.  It takes a while to load but it\'s fast enough to render sites.  I\'d say twice as fast as Konquerer on X11 roms.  Also it\'s got all those lovely features.  It\'s a great piece of work.  I personally found opera to be not as fast (faster loading but not faster browsing).  Bizarrely the pages render quickly enough but the menu items etc don\'t respond to quickly.  (all at 400mhz, I\'m not overclocking mine just yet ).

I found opera to feel much faster.  Perhaps I\'ll flash cacko qt rom and test to get actual numbers.

Also, firefox doesn\'t seem to have the scaling that opera/konq have.  I miss that, a little.

The fullscreen on firefox isn\'t quite full screen, and the scrolling isn\'t as nice as the screen
tap scroll (which you could do with a stylus or your finger) ...  Yes, the menu choices are slow.

overclocking did make the thing seem peppier -- but the best thing about it is the layout is perfect.

I just wonder if minimo would have a small system footprint.

Has anyone tried minimo with pdaXrom?
