I have been having trouble compiling VisualBoy Advance. Could anybody point me to a download or compile it (without sound)?

Theres several ipks for it on different feeds, but I havent had good results with it- if you just want gb or gbc emulation I recommend gnuboy which is also in one of the feeds. Link to VBA below:

All I get is a white screen. Same thing on Ubuntu. Is there something special I have to do. I got my .gba files from my games using the X-ROM Linker.

Actually I've not tried GBA games, only GB/GBC which was slow, so I didn't think GBA would run any better.

tbh I can't see GBA ever running smoothly unless someone spends time developing specifically for the Z.
