With many people using a bluetooth earpiece, a device like this is the best of both worlds.  Full PDA functionality with bigger keyboard and a phone.  The screen is a bit small though.

Not the first by a long shot. Check out the HTC universal - Windows Mobile 5, vga screen.

Insert the standard "I wish it ran linux". There's a version in the works, but it's very basic so far.

I actually don't care what it runs, as long as it *isn't* windows mobile

I know this is kinda off topic but I already have some Genuine Advantage nightmares.  This is going to cause a lot of systems to get infected with malware due to lack of applying patches.

Hey thanks for the tip.     I have converged to a Linux desktop at home however most of my friends and family have not.  With that being said I get about 2 calls a week about "techi" questions.  I imagine within a year and lack of patches it will bump up to 4 calls a week.

From what I've read, with Vista if you fail the "Genuine Advantage" test your system is locked, ie you cannot use it anymore, if so then there's no way "to get infected with malware due to lack of applying patches"

actually i find it funny that the only copies i have that work with the WGA are the ones i am not suposed to have, all my legit versions that have only been installed once fail the test

i have done a few house calls to fix WGA problems and i can only see it getting worse
