newbie question re loading new ROM
« on: October 03, 2003, 09:49:15 am »
I know it isn\'t like installing a new OS, but I\'m nervous... can I expect to lose my data if I load the new English ROM version here?

newbie question re loading new ROM

Actually you could equate it to installinga new OS... if you formatted a win95 box and installed win2k or xp, you\'d lose your data.  If you just performed a windows upgrade, you\'d likely keep your data, but it wouldn\'t be as stable.... enough of me jabbering on about M$....

If you\'re contemplating flashing to Cacko\'s ROM for the 7x0, you\'ll love it...  I just got my 760 back from repair and the first thing I did was flash to Cacko\'s 1.17 and applied the 96mb home hack...  it\'s the best thing since sliced bread!

Detailed instructions can be found in our How-To Docs area...

good luck!
