Udev & Usbnet 1.1.0r121

Does udev in 1.1.0r121 work?
I want to setup usbnet to do
"ifup usb0" when usb connected and "ifdown usb0" when it unpluged
udevmonitor on Z didn't show any kernel events if I plug or unplug usb

usb0: full speed config #1: 100 mA, Ethernet Gadget, using CDC Ethernet Subset

But udevmonitor show nothing

you know what... I do remember someone saying this doesn't work... I will check on it tonight since I'm at work and I have no means of physically testing my Z... but I will ssh into it... and if what I can find...

usbnet works. I want set udev to make usb0 up when usb connector insert
and down when it eject
