ok... do this... hold down OK... put the battery in...

If that doesnt work... boot into pdaxrom... do a reboot... but hold down ok once it says rebooting... it will prolly start scrolling a whole bunch of repeating characters... ignore it... then the screen goes black it will bring up the maintance menu...

And make sure you're only pressing OK, not OK + one of the arrow keys.
HP-95LX -> HP Jornada 680 -> SL-C860 -> SL-C3100 -> Fuji u810 -> SL-C1000 -> HTC uni -> SL-C860 -> SL-C760.
March 12 2009 : Back because the Zaurus is one of a kind.
SL-C760 : pdaXrom
Pandora pre-ordered -> received and tested : great device but not my cup of tea -> sold.

I followed the above, specifically a reboot while holding down "OK"
That brout up the pdaXrom emergency boot 3.00 Nikita with a command prompt.
I then "cd/mnt/card"

Have not found where to go or what to do at this point.

...Sometimes feel like switching to a MAC, but then my brain would not get this workout.

So I'm assuming you never loaded beta3 :-)

Now the process you will need to do is Restore you NAND by doing a FN+D+M while plugging in your AC adapter... This will bring up the Diag Menu... from there follow the step Trisoft listed to restore your nand...

From them you will be at Factory status... from there you can about flashing any rom of your choice... Perferably pdaxrom beta3 :-)

Yes! EVERYBODY should try pdaXrom with the 2.4 kernel! It gives a much better impression (in my opinion) of the ROM than the 2.6 ones do.
SL-C750- pdaXrom beta 1 (mostly unused)
Current distro: Gentoo

Thanks all... for the future searchers.  The only way I could get to the service menu was
battery out
hold down D & M while plugging in power
Follow directions from Trisoft.de   Pretty much what InSearchOf said

I am back up to a basic sharp rom and will try out the various flavors including beta3
