How long would it take to flash the ROM?

Hello.. I am trying to install the Cacko ROM (slc7x0-Qtopia-1910040104) to my 760, I have followed the instruction to repartition the root partition, reboot and flash the ROM, and I am now seeing a plain blue screen without any text of indication and I have been leaving the unit to \"function\" for about an hour. May I know if

1. There would be indication that the process is carrying on
2. How long will the operation take?

I have found (with this particular cacko ROM version) that I must have
a CF memory card inserted if I want to flash and also (this is a new
bug as far as I can remember) whenever I want to reboot later
(regardless of whether I reboot by removing the battery for 5 seconds
or reboot via shutdown reboot option). Once the reboot is done
however you can take the CF card out and put in WF card or GPRS or
whatever and it all works fine (CF memory card only seems to be needed during reboot and flash).
BTW, this is all on C-860 but it\'s probably the same as C-760.

My fault for not describing it clearly, the problem I am having is, I don\'t know if the operation to flash the ROM is undergoing.

One thing to supplement is, I am using a 128M CF to do the flash, would the size be an issue for the operation? Do I need a larger one?

I use 64M CF for reflashing this ROM and have no problems.
You are sure you put all needed files at the root of you CF
(tools.tar, updater.sh, initrd.bin)?

I have formatted the CF again and copy all the files over and this time it works!

Besides, I have made a mistake, I have downloaded the Qtopia ROM instead of the X11..  :oops:

Will try the X11 tomorrow..

Quick question for the not so quick.

I have also installed the Cacko ROM onto my 860, and was just curious-Is it possible to return to factory defaults? From my understanding, the OS is emdedded, so if I remove the partion I created for cacko, shouldn\'t that simply remove the rom?
