What Is The Max. Size Of Cf And Sd Under Pdaxrom
« on: January 18, 2007, 10:38:57 pm »
Just wonder what's the max. size of CF and SD card supported by pdaXrom on C1000/C3200? e.g. 4GB SD and 8GB CF.

I just know that 2GB SD and 4GB CF should be working fine.

Thanks a lot!

It depends on the version of pdaXrom you are talking about, ie 2.4.x kernel based which are anything up to beta3, or 2.6.x kernel based which are beta4 and later, as well as that it also depends on your Zaurus model.
SL-C3000 - pdaXii13 build5.4.9 (based on pdaXrom beta3) / SL-C3100 - Sharp ROM 1.02 JP (heavily customised)
Netgear MA701 CF, SanDisk ConnectPlus CF, Socket Bluetooth CF, 4GB Kingston CF,  4GB pqi SD, 4GB ChoiceOnly SD, 2GB SanDisk SD USB Plus, 1GB SanDisk USB Plus, 1GB Transcend SD, 2GB SanDisk MicroSD with SD adaptor, Piel Frama Leather Case, GoldX 5-in-1 USB cable, USB hub, USB mouse, USB keyboard, USB ethernet, USB HDD, many other USB accessories...
(Zaurus SL-C3000 owner since March 14. 2005, Zaurus SL-C3100 owner since September 21. 2005)

I know all SL-Cxx00 models support SD cards >1GB while SL-Cxx0 models do not, but I believe there is no limitation on CF size for any model.
SL-C750- pdaXrom beta 1 (mostly unused)
Current distro: Gentoo

Well with the new r121 I can get my 2Gb SD working on bothe c760 and c860.
But when I braught it it was not the case (and I was quite mad about that).

I have not yet tested anything bigger but I'll probably soon try a 4Gb SD to see if I can keep my music there ;-)

SL-c760*  pdaXrom latest
SL-c860    pdaXrom latest ;-)
SL-c1000  pdaXrom Latest

Toshiba AC100 running ARMedslack and Clash

*with some hardware problems but good for testing

Or PM me with the info and I'll be happy to do it.
