Ipkg Install Problems
« on: January 24, 2007, 03:00:20 pm »
Hi!
I downloaded kismet, I tried to use ipkg to install it, but after installation when I write kismet in console, it says command not found. this is what I did:
Quote
ipkg install kismet_2005-01-R1-1_arm.ipk
ERROR: File not found: /usr/lib/ipkg/liss/cacko-unstable
You probably want to run 'ipkg update'
chown: unknown group name: qpe
Installing Kismet...mkdir: Cannot create directory '/home/zaurus/netlog': No such file or directory
Done.

Then I runned 'ipkg update', but I got an error message 404 file not found.
I'm running pdaxrom. Any suggestions? Thanks!

That appears to be the Cacko Kismet package. Try getting the pdaXrom one and see if the errors go away. PdaXrom packages end in armv5tel.ipk instead of arm.ipk.
SL-C750- pdaXrom beta 1 (mostly unused)
Current distro: Gentoo

That looks like a Cacko feed. You can't use (most) Cacko packages with pdaXrom. I'd change it to the pdaXrom feed or the one at [a href=\"http://zaurus.spy.org/feeds/cacko/pdaXrom/1.1.0/beta3/feed/]http://zaurus.spy.org/feeds/cacko/pdaXrom/1.1.0/beta3/feed/[/url]
