Input Problem
« on: February 15, 2007, 08:59:25 pm »
hi all, I cannot solve a singular problem:
often, when I touch the screen, the cursor jumps far from the correct point and comes back. Eg.: I try to press keys on onscreen keyboard and wrong keys are pressed, sometimes the window bar is clicked and dragged, etc...
I tried xournal and when I try to draw, lines are drew instead of points. Actually, all the lines are in the same radial direction, even if not perfectly equal.

I thought of an hardware issue...
Well, in D+M touchscreen test everything is good!!!

So, I must have changed something in D+M menu sometimes in the past...

Louigi600 is trying to help me; have you any hint? Any exact information on which config files and drivers I should look at? Any idea of D+M menu settings that can influence the touchscreen?

HELP!!!!

thank you

Check that your cpu hasn't been underclocked by accident; a too-low clock will cause a jumpy pointer.

I have the same problem with cursor input. I know that in the sharp rom (cacko)  this was a problem when the zaurus was underclocked to 100MHz but in pdaxrom the clock speed is 400MHz.

I found this thread but it didnt help me much
