Cacko Is A Bit Like Windowsxp
« on: March 12, 2007, 06:18:48 am »
Cacko is a bit like WindowsXP ... except the security part ...
How so?
It's not been updated for years, but people are still using it.
It's stable and just works.
It's not cutting edge, but you don't get crashes (much).
It does not have a fancy UI, but it has almost everything you need to run your daily chores.
Its support for hardware is by far, the best.

Cacko is not full of security holes and has had no security updates for awhile, while WinXP has had plenty!

Other thoughts guys?
Snappy!

Way to insult Cacko, Snappy!

I always thought of Cacko as being closely related in spirit to MacOS 9 since they they both use defunct kernels and everything basically works.

Yes, other thoughts:
pdaXrom 1.1.0beta3 supports much more hardware than Cacko and is also stable. If not even more stable than Cacko.
