Freeciv 2 Beta (1 Or 4)

been trying to play freeciv- from the beta packages- it runs nicely, but every time I look at a reoprt, say science research, or demographics, the report window overlays where the main map window was. I can't figure out how to get back to the map.
Anyone play freeciv and know how to do this? (I suspect this might be really obvious, but I'm stuck)

Have you tried Q, escape, or Alt-dragging the window to see if it has a close button? I seem to remember trying it and figuring something out, but I can't remember what.
