Thinking About C860
« on: November 22, 2004, 09:50:47 am »
Hi Guys,

I am debating about getting a new PDA (have been using the same Palm III forever) and I am really interested in the C860.  From what I have heard though, I hear syncing with a linux desktop can be a royal pain.  What applications do you use to sync with a linux desktop and what features do you like most about the C860?

TIA

It's a pain with some apps. Also depends on which PIM suite you use on the Z itself.
If you use the KDE suite on both the Z and your desktop, you'll be fine.

I would definately recommend the KDE PIM if you are getting a clamshell. I used it a while on my 5500, and really liked it, but the screen on a 5500 is just too small for all the functionality of KO/Pi and KA/Pi. (Think of fat fingering, only with a stylus)
SL 5500 Cacko 3.10 ROM 64-0, Symbol Wifi
storage on 256MB Lexar High Speed SD card
64MB/32MB CF cards for removable storage.
