excuse me for pestering, people...i have posted a few queries on the group, but no replies. iam actually in a tight situation here. need a way out.
i need to use a CF serial card as a serial console.
the serial port /dev/ttyS3 works fine with klogd redirected to ttyS3
klogd -f /dev/ttyS3
but can we see a serial console right from the boot time messges as in PC to PC.
i have done a little bit of code scanning but that shows no problems.
as per the code in printk.c and serial.c , it should be dumping kernel messages to all the registered tty\'s.there\'s one difference though that the CF serial port registered after the sa1100_mmcsd() is intialised and that happens some time after the sa1100 on board serial ports are intialised.
some help here plz
