mplayer?

Hi,

some time ago one of of the pdaxrom team guys (sashz?) said there will be a better mplayer version with vidix drivers . I\'ve tried the current version from the feed and with my encodings it seems worse than ever  - I cannot get it to play smoothly. Is there still room for improvement, or am I doing something wrong and this version should work perfectly?

Has anyone got any ideas about this??

I like to be able to play video at 320x240@24fps fullscreen, I can do it in Qtopia perfectly but not under pdaXrom.  The best I can get is a tiny video or a fullscreen one at 1 frame every 10 seconds or so. :-(

I want to move over to pdaXrom but the lack of video playback and a good ebook reader is stopping that, oh and a C++ compiler (seen many people asking, but no answers).
