vnc client for sl-c750 cacko rom??
« on: April 14, 2004, 03:43:55 am »
I\'ve got the vnc server working fine, but cannot seem to find a vnc client for the sl-c750 cacko (no opie) ROM.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I tried the opie keypebble vnc client and as expected it failed to install.

Many thanks!

The Sharp version of keypebble works fine for me on a C700 with Cacko 1.20.  You can find it here:

Sharp versions of other OZ apps can be found here:

Open source RTS.  It's still in the very early stages, so testers are quite welcome.

Thanks.  I must have got a corrupted download when I grabbed opie-keypebble the first time.  I downloaded again after reading your response and it installed fine.  The only problem is that it is the old resolution - anyone know of a 640x480 res version??

I haven\'t seen a VNC client as yet for c7xxx series specifically yet. The existing versions work as such except scrolling ios required since it uses a smaller portion of the screen.

VSN servers on thew other hand have eebn modified for the C7xx series.

The download probably wasn\'t corrupt, it was just the OZ version of keypebble.  The one I linked to was designed for the Sharp ROM.  All of the apps in the feed I linked to have been redone to be more compatible with the Sharp ROM, but some still might have problems.

You should be able to get full 640x480 by holding down the stylus on the keypebble icon for a few seconds and unchecking the display with magnified screen option.  That will work with most apps that default to 320x240.

Hey thanks for the resolution tip!  I\'m suprised that I hadn\'t stumbled on that one before as I surfed this forum.  Now if I could just get the vnc client to connect to the server!  Errrr...
