unable to install packages
« on: April 17, 2004, 03:48:52 pm »
I am running Oz 3.3.6 on the 5600 and it is quite stable until this started to happen... when I try to install a package via the cli, something happens really fast and opie restarts.  When I try to use the package manager, it doesn\'t show any packages to install and only a few installed.  I have 290k left on /dev/root.  I have read around and can\'t really find anything related to my issue.  Also if I try to invoke install from aFM, I get a segfault.  Any insight would be appriciated.

You might try starting syslogd and then seeing whether it has anything useful to say when opie dies.

Out of interest can you install things using ipkg from the command line?

Iget the same results from the cli.. opie simply restarts, it doesn\'t fully die.  I re-flashed anyway.  Thanks
