Charger Heat
« on: November 18, 2016, 08:49:40 am »
So I noticed my power charger gets REAL hot when plugged in and charging the GPD WIN.  Wonder if I have a faulty one or if these are just slightly under powered so working hard producing extra heat?

The GPD itself gets warm but not alarming so (no more than some other devices I have).

Under powered would not result in more heat.

If you think the charger gets too hot then replace it with a good quality brand.

I don't recall my charger getting hot....

However,I do get the message in Win10 regularly that "the pc is charging slowly and to use charger that came with device".

Find that message a bit ironic.....

Was thinking to look for a better charger....

I never used the provided charger (not much trust there) and bought another one (Anker 36W 4usb) with 2.4A output and works great for the time being.
