Micro SD for large Files
« on: March 28, 2018, 11:28:21 am »
Formatting Micro SDs in the Gemini itself formats them in FAT32. Then no Files larger than 3,9 GB can be stored.
I quick formatted my (200 GB) Micro SD with Win 7 as exFAT and it works quite well with my Aard2 offline Wikipedia German 5 GB.

About SD, in Gemini is it better to format as "system extension" or as "portable disk"?
My Android tablet suggested to format as system extension a 128 GB SD, so now it has 32+128 GB file system, but so the SD is not portable...
And for Gemini?

When I got my Gemini I installed the 200 G Micro SD as an "integrated Android Memory" one.
Our Daughter (medical informatics) some days later told me that this way in many Apps is not good, it often works unstable.
So I made a Factory Reset to the Gemini (found in the Android Settings). After setting the first Things again and formatting the Micro SD in the Gemini I stored some smaller files without problems but with the 5 GB File it stopped with a fault remark.
Therefore my remarks.
