Keyboard Ordering Question

I just ordered my wifi/4g Gemini with a US mains, shipped to US.

Afterwards, it occurred to me that I was unable to choose a keyboard layout. I'd like to receive the US (American) keyboard, but did not see an option for that choice--I chose the $599 perk from the Indiego/Gemini homepage.

I sent an email to Planet, trying to confirm my keyboard preference, but how could I have chosen the right keyboard in the first place?

The way it worked during the crowdfunding phase, was that some time before production was to begin, everybody who had paid for a Gemini got an email with a link pointing them to a form (on smartsheet.com) where they were to specify the keyboard layout for their device.

I guess it was because the exact set of keyboard layouts in demand wasn't known when the campain launched, but it could also be related to some limitation in the Indiegogo platform itself.

When you get an answer from Planet Computers, please share what they said, as I am only able to tell how it used to work early on.

Thank you for the informative reply. Perhaps that follow-up email you reference will come to me as well. I recreated a purchase (up to the point of my credit card) and try as I did, I never saw an option for a keyboard choice, so I don't think I missed a step.

I also posted my original message in the Ind. comment section but no response yet.

Fingers crossed that I hear back from Planet, and I will certainly post here if I do.

A follow-up:

Planet got back to me right away, giving me that same smartsheet link. Their courteous email also said that if smartsheet isn't used, they usually ship keyboard to match the country of order.
