I really enjoy Linux and want to get this Zaurus working properly, so thanks to all in advance!!!
correct me if I\'m wrong along the lines here...(highschool)

1. I have the SL5000D and downloaded the 3.2 kernel (from OpenZaurus.org)

2. Flashed it w/the 16mb-16mb-debug-bin file. (what\'s the difference with debug/ non debug)?

3. System comes up \'System Info\' -] //this version now recognizes my c.f. media card 32MB//
a. Opie version 0.9.3-Snapshot (can I upgrade this? if so how? http?)
b. Linux Kernel 2.4.6-rmk1-np2-embed...(can I upgrade this? if so how? recompile my kernel? http?)
c. OpenZaurus 3.2

4. Z5d recognizes my D-linkDCF-660W card, but when I goto \'Settings\' - \'Network\'802.11b\') (wlan0) is listed.
5. When I click -Information it responds: \"No information about a disconnected interface\"
6. Goto -Konsole type in \'cardctl ident\' responds with;

Socket 0:
product: info: \"D-link\", \"DCF-660W\", \"\", manfid: 0xd601, 0x005
function: 6 (network)
Socket 1:
no poduct uinfo available

Does that look legit??? How do I conect to the interface?????

I have a print out from wiki stating; Dlink-DCF660W Chipset: Prism2
I\'m missing drivers (right?) and have been looking @
http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/ website..still reading it all = ]

I dont have a wvlan-conf file?
I notice /etc/pcmcia/wireless script uses \'iwconfig\' and I dont have that..where can I get it?

Well, that about sums it up. I currently use a compaq redhat laptop w/wifi, and want to have nearly
the same functionality in the Zaurus, specifically running kismet.
Any help on correcting the install to work w/those programs inaddition will be greatly appreciated...?pcap libs and such...
