as I'm sure you're well aware, we had a brief forums outage... it lasted about an hour.
The main site was working fine, but if you tried to access the forums, it gave a mysql error. The crappy thing was, I couldn't ssh into the server to try and restart mysqld. So I immediately left work to drive home and see what was up.
After I bounced the server, everything came up as normal. I have daily backups, so I'm not too concerned with loosing data. I'm just disappointed that we're having so many outages because of the box were on.
Obviously my top priority is to build the new box out (on slackware) and move the site to it.
I appreciate everyone's patience while we're working through these issues.
