POLL: (Not Really) What How-To's are needed?

Take a look at howto and see what's missing, broken, vague, misplaced, etc.

I think How-TO's are great and a tremendous source of knowledge if we keep them up to date.

If you can't find a how-to in the section, post here and someone might be able to help find or create one.

For those of you creating them, please please please make them SIMPLE STEP by STEP as if you are talking to a newbie.  Sometimes it is not just enought to say what steps but what the step MEANS (ie see bold: Step 1) delete this file xxx.cfg  - as it is looked at at startup for config and you want the defualt config instead).

Faq's and howto are often outdated or links go bad...if you see this is the case ask moderator for a mirror here to keep the info available forever ;-)  (Of cource, this all depends on size of file)

I am already planning a step by step for movie making DVD-to-AVI (for 5x00) and additionally AVI-to-WMV for Cx00 with all need files.

I not only agree, but I think it's a great idea to solicit ideas and help for more how-to docs.

First draft of DVD to AVI is done, however, downloads files are not mirrored yet (Offroad, I cannot PM you at all ...so I cannot resolve this).


All the programs/files needed are in the public domain and can be gotten simply by googling.
