Flash Simpad Without Serload

hello,

does anybody know if i can flash a SIMpad with opie installed without serload via serial cable? i mean is there a way to download the image onto the SIMpad and then install it from within linux?

No, that's not possible.

In theory you could write a program that loads itself in ramdisk, unmount all the mtdblocks, erase the flash and reprogram it from some source...

Depending on the bootloader, you could flash from a cf card though.
