Putty autocompletion not working
« on: August 30, 2004, 06:33:36 pm »
Hi,

I am using putty to telnet my zaurus.  It works although when I hit tab autocomplete doesn't kick in, where as it does when I use the Zaurus' keyboard.  Well, if anyone could shed some light on this for me I would really appreciate it.

You mostlikely are using a different shell when you telnet in than when you use the terminal app.

try running bash after you log in.

/etc/passwd contains the default shell for each user when logging in. Change '/bin/sh' to '/bin/bash'
