Belkin F8u1500-e Keyboard
« on: August 18, 2006, 07:21:10 am »
Hey,

I have a 5600 currently running OZ 3.5.4.2 RC1. I am trying to get my Belkin keyboard working so I got the irk-belkin from the 3.5.4.1 feed and installed it. Set all the setting i.e enabled the irda + set the irk setting, still the keyboard is not detected. So I was wondering if there was anything else that I could try. Also if anybody has managed to get this keyboard working with OZ.

Thanks.

sorry about the previous post and thanks for the response. Any plans on when it will included in the kernel?

I know this is the OPIE forum but will GPE eventually also get IR support?

Thats kernel related problem which has low priority for us. Kopsis told that probably he will look into it in free time.

The problem is in the Kernel and it doesn't matter if you're running OPIE or GPE.

I've prototyped a 2.6 device driver that may do the trick. I was hoping to do some testing/debug this weekend, but it looks like I'll be spending most of the weekend doing automotive work. Perhaps I'll have some news next week.

Cool sounds good. Thanks for all the work Kopsis. Also I do have a background in software development, if I can assist openzaurus in any way do let me know.

Is there any news on this front?  I would sure like to try out the latest 2.6 kernel OZ version on my Poodle, but IrDa keyboard support is a must have.  Anyone had any luck in this regard?
Thanks.
