Flash OZ GPE with an SD card?

Should OZ + GPE  flash from an SD card or does it have to be a Compact Flash card?

I've tried with SD (all i have atm!) but no go......in fact I thought I'd made a nice shiny new brick    
It was completely dead - not even an orange power light when plugged into AC

But then I found a quick hard reset resuccitated it!!

Anyway, when trying the C + D + Reset sequence I got no lights - not even the green + orange 1sec flash on & off when no images are found.

So, is it me or the SD card? Will I have to wait untill I get the Compact Flash card sorted?

On a 5500 you must use a CF card to flash.

I won't waste any more time playing around now. I'll wait untill tomorrow, when I can get a CF card!

At least I know it wasn't *just me* mucking it up
