Further problems with pdaX ROM
« on: February 27, 2004, 06:04:11 am »
Well, I have to MAJOR problems with the new ROM:

- first, the Z seems unable to keep the time as soon as it \"sleeps\"
- second, after I choose \"sleep\" from the \"tool bar\", I often get a freeze when awaking. X11 does not react, I have to hard-reboot.

After reboot, at the command line, it appears that teh Z still uses some \"bios time\", not the one I had set up from X11.

By the way, what\'s the syntax to set date and time from the command line? It says \"date --set=STRING\" but not what STRING should look like. Fortunately \"man hwclock\" was more helpfull.

I\'m currently investigating if this problem is X11 related by suspending from the command line (apm -s, I had to look for that command to, we definitely need some documentation)

Thierry.

Are you turning it back on with the \"On/Off\" button or with the Home key? The On/Off button is flaky at best under pdaX right now.

\"date -s 13:51:02\" sets time
(among other possibilities)
