Qpegps Probelm
« on: December 02, 2004, 05:11:58 pm »
I know this hsould be easy to solve. It sure seems like it should be since it seems like a package install problem, but I'm clueless.

I've downloaded qpegps (qpegps_0_9_1_arm-1.ipk) - yes this relates to a thread I started some time back but I'm only just getting around to trying qpegps now - and went to install the package on my 5600 (nothing snazzy - just Sharp ROM). Copied to Main Memory->Install Files and went to Add/Remove Software to install the package. It's not showing up in the list.

Has anyone else had any trouble installing this package? Any suggestions?

Where'd you get the ipk from? (hint: ar/tar.gz ipk format troubles?)

When in doubt try it from the command line (ipkg install ...).

I got it from the qpegps site and also via the Zaurus software index (works out to the same place). As far as I know the download is just the package itself. Not a tarball or anything.
