Hi Guys,
I was a long time user of the Psion Agenda and there is a calendar app which is in my experience BETTER than the original Psion agenda. It is called CalenGoo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...droid&hl=hu CalenGoo is full customizable: - You can basically set anything (color, font size, background color, synchronization, etc.). - It has drag & drop for tasks and event. - Tasks can have priorities. - It can sync with multiple Google calendars, but you can also have your own calendar in the device without Google. WEEK VIEW: THE SAME WEEK VIEW BUT WITH CALENDAR SELECTION AND VIEW SELECTION BAR TURNED OFF: THE SAME WEEK VIEW BUT WITH ICONS AND DIFFERENT TEXT COLOR AND DIFFERENT TIME FORMAT: MONTH VIEW: YEAR VIEW: HOWEVER, CalenGoo does NOT have keyboard shortcuts. The developer is ready to make keyboard shortcuts, but he uses a voting system to decide what to develop. I have suggested him to add following shortcuts: M month D day W week L list Y year T task space = today < previous (week/day) > next (week/day) ctrl-T = new task ctrl-E = new event cursor keys = move selected day Please support my initiative and vote for "Add keyboard shortcuts" at: https://calengoo.de/features/calengooandroid Thanks: Balazs |

Very happy to vote — I'm looking for a good calendar app.
However, before we do so, are those the best choices? I'd probably suggest that all those shortcuts use the Ctrl key — so that, like Psion Agenda, unmodified typing automatically starts creating a new entry. Would that make sense in CalenGoo? |

Thanks for telling us about this; I never heard about Calengoo but it seems it is a *very* usable calendar app indeed.
I'm all for keyboard shortcuts, so I also made my vote. But given the extreme configurability of the app as it is now, I guess the author would probably be happy to make shortcuts configurable as well, instead of only adding a fixed set. |

Many thanks for posting this; it is an amazing app with outstanding support. What users may not know is that there is a beta copy of the app which will sync with a desktop version (also in beta). You need to contact the author to be given permission to become a "tester" and then (if successful) you will get a link.

Thk you @zsalab2 for the information, there's one more vote.
I'm probably gonna use Lightning along with light DAV compatible apps in Android and Sailfish OS, but this Calengo looks fine! |

thank you for the support! I wrote to the developer and he already started to work on the keyboard shortcuts. He sent me a beta version to test. We have now working: W (week view) D (day view) M (month view) T (task view) ctrl-E (new event) ctrl-S (save) ctrol-C (cancel) |

Thanks for the suggestion about Calengoo, zsalab2!
Great program....much more usable than Gemini's program. I like using the 'Landscape Day view (week) and set it to show 5 days (Monday - Friday). This is a great vertical day format, that allows you to see your days with colored time blocks. I've been testing out the beta program. Had a few comments over the past few days and developer, Dominique, has been very responsive and quick in getting me updated versions to test. Now, all the keyboard shortcuts work well. Hope he releases the updated Calengoo Pro version soon. Mark |

I have suggested the developer to:
- Q = previous - E = next - S = month view When these are set, all major buttons (A-agenda, D-day, W-week, S-month, Q-prev, E-next, 1-today) are at the same location, making navigation very quick. I also suggested to have a popup with the complete list of all keyboard shortcuts mapped to the "?" key. |

(Today = 0 means Today = 1 because I have a Hungarian keyboard)

The developed added all these keyboard shortcuts to the app. They will be available in the next update for non beta-testers as well.
Only change: H = help And: ESC = exit works with double press, so we do not accidental exit. |

I am watching this thread with much interest. I am still interested in the Planet PDA App, because this 'comes with' the Gemini and is supposed to be developed for it.
Nevertheless, the Calengoo developer is clearly much more open to improvements. At this speed, Calengoo will be adapted to the Gemini, before Planet PDA gets the basic bugs out of its own app ! |

'supposed to be', is the right phrase..... Calengoo is much more adapted already..... The developer is super responsive and open to our suggestions, and incorporates many of them, and very quickly.... If Planet was smart, they'd hire him to to do the Planet version..... ![]() Mark |
