I use Google messages for sms/mms. It has a neat feature that allows you to scan a qr code on a computer browser and use the computer to respond to messages.

Problem is the cosmo camera seems to distort the qr code which is the only means of authenticating.

Anybody know how to tweak the camera distortion?

As you may know, yesterday PC released the beta Linux and Rooted Android image. I installed both of those yesterday but I have a few questions before I mess with it.

Currently the boot loader only allows you to install rooted android and linux in boot 3 and 4 so your boot loader looks like this:

1. Android
2. Other recovery (if installed)
3. Linux or rooted Android
4. Linux or rooted Android

My questions are these:

1. Does the rooted android install another full android image or just a boot image with root access that basically symlinks to the normal android distribution?

Looking at the files from pc it doesn't look like a full android image (but I could be wrong). The linux image looks to be about 3GB which is about right for a linux full image.

I would like to remove a bunch of stuff (A lot of PC's preinstalled stuff, youtube, movies app etc). If it is a symlink I would be purging stuff from the normal android install. I am a bit concerned about breaking stuff and not being able to get back to full functionality since there is no recovery image yet. If it is a full rooted android install I am not concerned as I can simply reflash the rooted image if I break something.

Which brings me to question 2

2. If there are two full android images, normal and rooted, is there and will there ever be a way to remove/replace the normal android image?

Obviously I will likely only use the rooted and tailored image and don't need or want to take up space with the normal image once things settle out. I understand you can root the stock android but I am hesitant to do so because 1. There is no recovery image 2. It cant take OTA without flashing again then flashing back.

I have rooted and modified many phones in my time, but this is different because there aren't many cosmos and there are currently no real images aside from the PC provided ones so I am a bit more leary.

Appreciate any help
