Has anyone here managed to get HDMI output working on Linux?
I am using the original Gemini USB-c to HDMI adapter. I successfully get a mirrored screen in android, but with the stock debian install I get nothing - the display isn't recognized. |

Cannot help you except to reassure you that you are not alone in this: I have not managed to have my Gemini recognised by any HDMI device I have tried. Annoying because using my Gemini to give presentations was one of my key use cases. I only use Debian.

Yeah, that's problematic as current xf86-video-hwcomposer driver is built around assuming single screen. I had been able to get test_hwcomposer from libhybris to render on two screens (see https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/nMd8R6Krxh/ + https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/J9SQWNMVBB/ to enable HDMI on Gemini PDA in particular), but that is not integrated in driver. If anyone wants to help, I can explain on IRC what could be done. |
