Seems that after entering my PIN through the cover display, there is a keypad on the opened display that asks for one's
personal security password that is NOT the same as the PIN.

So, I am locked out.

it is the same as the pin. If you think you found a bug, please report it to planet.

Sorted it out. Thnx.

BIG QUESTION: Why must one enter their PIN twice before using their Cosmo?

PIN required or entered through the cover display keypad AND then again after swiping up the open device?
That is redundant (and unnecessary), yes?

The short answer, is the pin on the outside unlocks the outside screen. Same as the finger print reader when the display is closed. This could be an undesireable side effect or a bug. I use the fp reader most of the time, if its not reading due to the periodic pin verification i just open the device. The outside screen pin option seems useless to me, especially combine with the outer screens lag.

It has access to your contacts and sms etc no? It has to be behind pin, though probably entering pin from there should also count for the main screen/device, typing it twice does seem like a bug
