Spreadsheet app on Android?

Hi Guys,

Back in the old days, Psion had a great spreadsheet app
that I used to use all the time. I was wondering what the
options are running on droid.

Yes, of course, lots of folks seem to use the online
goggles docs and M$ options; but I'd rather use something
light, fast and with good file interchange that actually
runs on my machine.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Is there any practical linux means to make cell phone calls?

Hi folks,

I've just been watching all the talk about linux on the
Gemini and Cosmo, I've been wondering...

Is anyone actually able to make/receive real, regular cell
phone calls using linux on the Gemini?

If so, does it actually compare to a "normal" smartphone
calling user interface experience?

...and I am not talking about VOIP calls.

External Camera Focusing?

Hi all,

I got my external camera module a week or so ago, plugged
it in and started testing...

As low rent as it is, it did a decent enough taking low res
pictures when lighting was good, but usually needed me to
manually tell it where to focus. It's like 2008 on my G1
all over again.

But the most frustrating thing with the camera was when I
found my banking app seems to be utterly unable to take a
focused picture of a check for deposit.

Presumably the app is expecting android OS or the firmware
to handle the focusing?? If so, is this something that
Planet needs to fix in their droidOS or firmware ports?

Anyone know more about what's going on under the covers
here?

Gemini for sale?

Hi all,

It sounds like I'm not the only one getting pinged whether
they wanted to sell their Gemini (I am *not* interested).

Rather than clutter our OESF.org usage with those PM's,
I started this thread for anyone to post if they're
interested in buying or selling.

Post your interests here and then the interested parties
can carry on the bidding war in private.

Gemini MassStorage App?

Suggestion:

It occurred to me after hearing Dr. Janko mention one side
of the Gemini's USB ports supported being used in "slave"
mode, that it would be great if they'd provide an app
(driver?) which would allow for the Gemini to be used as a
USB MassStorage device.

Like the original Android phones did, before they pulled
the functionality in ~v1.5-1.6.

Thoughts?
