Fast Load Programs Crashing After Suspend Problems
« on: February 16, 2005, 11:16:25 am »
Hi all. My problem specifically happens with the pisync apps (kopi, kapi & mopi v2.02), but when I have any of them set to fast load (which for kopi is almost a necessity:?>), when my Z comes back out of suspend I get an application error box saying the app was sigterm'd & the fast load has been disabled. Anybody else experience this & any work-arounds? thks

Did you install it to a card? Is your card umounted on suspend?

I managed to find a couple older posts that suggest that mmc/sd cards are unmounted automatically on suspend. If that's the case then that is indeed my problem. Is the any way to *not* have it unmount, or is that just a limitation of an sd card? thks

From a recent thread (like in the past week) it looks like some makes of card are umounted and some aren't.

To fix it, other than buying a different make of card, you need to modify the kernel.

mmm, I couldn't come up with that thread after a couple of different searches. If you know which one could you let me know. I'd be interested in going through it.

At this point I'd have to either live with the problem or learn how to do some kernel hacking, 'cause after buying the 1G lexar I have I don't forsee any more purchases in my near future
