Irda - T-mobile - Nokia 3660
« on: February 22, 2005, 09:57:32 am »
Set up a network irda connection on my SL6000L and connected thru my irda modem connection on my Nokia 3660. Did some banking and checked email, then disconnected.

I have not been able to connect since that first time. I have tried on several occassions on different days because the error message is 'Network Offline'.

This seems a bit peculiar. I'm posting on the outside chance someone else has experienced the same problem.

Anybody?

I paired my 6600 nokia with Z 5500 via BT and irda and never had any problems with it.
try to delete previous conn settings and make a new one!
It allways works for me

You could debug your chat script execution by preview of: /home/etc/ppp/connection-errors
If it was finished successfully then debug pppd by:
tail -f /var/log/messages
Of course syslogd must ne ON before of this.

Hope this helps,

abort on (NO DIALTONE)
abort on (BUSY)
send (at+cgdcont=1,ip,net^M)
expect (OK)

Why? Just send atz to initialize the modem first

SIGTERM

I beleive must be something like at+cgdcont=1,"IP","www.youraccesspoint.com"

p/s: make sure the handset GPRS setting , GPRS access point = "your access point name"
