I dont know if this will help anybody but i am using a siemens s56. it has irda and bluetooth but at the moment, i am using irda with my zaurus to log into the net from anywere gprs is available....which is almost every inch of the planet.
the only problem i found in this format is ...it costs 12 dollars a month just to have 4mb data transfer and after that, it costs me 3 cents per kilobyte. anybody can suggest anything cheaper?
okay...before i was using a 56k modem with earthlink....totally cool but crap when it comes to gprs. The reason being is I spoke with a representative from at&t and the tech guy said i cannot access normal telephone net access such as earthlink because that is not how it works, instead i set up a irda with the phone number *99# and no username or password..... you can access the internet through at&t and i am using
http://pda.web-geek.com/ and i tell you you have mapquest at your fingertips, i managed to find directions in a blink of an eye and only used 100kb with the pda version of mapquest....literealy moble.
i also use my earthlink account setup with my zaurus default email app (800kb maxfile sucks but its the best for email) to gether emaila and also send out email.
well anyway, i am also going to ask....how do you access net from anywere for free with my getup? you cant access earthlink dialup through gprs and also pay ontop of that with gprs data through at&t it blows chunks i tell ya.
