C1000 On Pricejapan

have u seen it the c1000 is on pricejapan for the same price that the c860 were  cool !!!!!!
i plan to buy one i want to know if there are english rom for this zaurus ?

I'd like to ask a couple of questions from anyone in europe who previously ordered from them.
Do they send stuff with european or japanese power adapter?
Do they mark the packages in a way that customs will intercept them, or has everyone been lucky?

I bought an SL-C860 from PriceJapan a few weeks ago, shipping to the UK.

It comes with a Japanese power supply, so you need to get one for your country (or a sync-charge cable or whatever).

I didn't have to pay any customs fees when it arrived.

add eu32 for a power supply; take off a partial EMS shipping discount and it's a v good price.

BTW, anyone in England should note that PriceJapan have a UK bank account into which you can pay money and avoid some of the wire transfer fees. Contact them for details. I could PM you, but then maybe I'd accidentally give you my bank account and take your money :-)

I'm going to be ordering a case, a telescopic stylus and a quality screen protector from them.

Their battery prices are q good too.

My SL-C860 came with a really thick screen protector that made the screen shimmer like a moire fringe - so bad I thought it was faulty, as I didn't realise there was an SP on it!

I peeled it off and used one from my Palm T3, just had to snip 2mm of the length, fitted perfectly, but I messed it up and got air-bubbles under it.

The folding clamshell protects the screen when it is closed, but there is no protection when you are *using* the touchscreen.  I don't know of any PDA that comes with that type of screen protector.  It is always an extra purchase.
