Cacko Rom And Belkin Bluetooth
« on: April 13, 2005, 01:55:29 am »
Hi

I have the latest version of the Cacko Rom for sl5500.

Its install and working well.

However I am having real trouble getting my Belkin Bluetooth card to work.

The Bluetooth card is a cf card Belkin model number F8T020.

I have install the latest version of the bluez bluetooth drivers and the network applets, and other things, however it is still not working.

I'm sure I am missing a simple element.

When I do a cardctl ident i get the following feedback

product info: "CF CARD", "GENERIC", "", ""
manfid: 0x0279, 0x950b

when I try hciconfig nothing is returned.

I'm not sure what I'm ment to have in the bluetooth.conf file?

any assistance would be unreal.

Hi,
I use the same card with cacko 1.22a on a C860 and it works great.
I think first of all you did create the proper bluetooth-profile in the network applet. But then there is a small bug when recognizing this card: After plugging in the card there is the short LED flash but often you cannot get the yellow bluetooth plug icon in the panel automatically. So you have to go into "Network", do nothing and just quit it again. THen there should be the yellow icon and now you should see something in hciconfig and the card should work. Worked for me. Hope it helps. Good luck!
