Configuring Qtella
« on: May 01, 2005, 11:46:37 am »
I recently got kismet working on my 6000, which made me very excited because my linux expertise is not that high. I credit the great information available on this forum and on the wiki.

I'm experimenting with other network clients and I thought I would try Qtella. Ran into a connection problem and searching through google and on this site did not result in any answers. Could anyone assist me? I'm wondering if it's a port issue or possibly a lib issue.

Has anyone had luck with this ap?

Thanks,

Configuring Qtella

I may be in the same boat that you are. I installed Qtella, but it never seems to connect to anything. Incidentally, the display only seems to show about 80% of the screen regardless, of resolution or orientation.

In any event, I have an idea that the issue lies somewhere in the list of servers for it to connect to. The reason that I think this is that I have both Limewire and Gnucleus on my laptop. Gnucleus can find only a fraction of the hosts that LW can. They both run and connect properly, servers are in a list for G, but I can't find a list for LW. I think if we could find out what LW looks for we could get other clients to look there too.

Hopefully there is information here that someone will find useable.
