Nand Restore And So On
« on: May 12, 2005, 01:16:41 am »
Hello,

I have been trying to NAND restore for the past few days, and I have now been able to actually NAND restore, but after the restoring is done it says

Restore... OK

What do I do next? I pressed cancel on the keyboard and exited and rebooted my 860, and then the "Please wait a moment..." screen comes up (in japanese) and on the bottom black bar where you type the command or something, this comes up

Enter Runlevel :

I first typed "1" and then pressed entered, and then the next time "5" and then "0" each time rebooting, but then it just stays on the screen and nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you in advance.

rikiya,
sorry, no idea what's going wrong there.
You should try to use another NAND backup.
After you see "Restore: OK" exit this screen
with "Cancel" and exit the diag menu with the
"Reset" in the "Extra menu".
After power on the Zaurus should boot up normal.

If your Zaurus doesn't boot up after the restore,
either the used NAND-backup wasn't OK or the
Zaurus has a serious problem in his NAND memory
itself (but this should give you an error message
during the restore).

Thank you very much! Yes, it was the NAND back-up that was wrong. I used the wrong one in the begininng because the right one didn't work, I didn't know I needed WinRAR... but now it's all fine and working! Thanks!
