Testing Hentges T2 Rc-2 And Stuck At Boot.
« on: June 01, 2005, 04:25:07 pm »
I'm testing hentges T2 RC-2 and am getting stuck when it boots.  Is anyone else getting the "A new storage media SD card what should I do with it" message right before it tries to go into Opie?  Its huge (goes off screen) and wont let me OK or cancel past it...

Anyone else seen this with RC-2?

I've seen this many times after flashing various ROMs.  The only way I've been able to stop it is by removing SD and CF cards right after flashing - prior to the first boot.

I was never able to get by that dialog.

I just got that same screen for the  T1 release boot up when I (shame, shame - but I was tired) - forgot to put the sd card in the device when I flashed,  but it said "A new storage media CF card what should I do with it"  instead of SD card.
Once I put the sd card in with NO files on it whatsoever (formatted it ext2 at boot) and put the cardfs, zimage and initrd.bin file on my CF card and reflashed I was all right.
BUT,  I can't get my Belkin wifi card to work which worked right off the bat with the basic 3.5.3 install AND if I take my cf card out (by ejecting it through the icon in the taskbar),  it is not recognized when I reinsert it.
Also, had a "Your sd card is damaged and must be repaired message" at boot and "error initializing folder" in the taskbar at reboot.  Sigh.

POW!!

Removing the cards after flashing makes sense, sorta but not for the hentges rom BUT it works.  Anyway, instead of re-flashing, I rebooted and had the card out when it went into Opie for the first time.

I inserted the card AFTER doing the stylus calibration and it now works.

Looks like the Calibration runs in a much lower res than Opie, so perhaps that accounts for not being able to see the entire dialogue...

Thanks for the tip Jbruno
