Odd Charging Problem
« on: June 02, 2005, 03:59:16 am »
Here's something odd I noticed. I have a sync and charge cable and a normal USB to PDA power cable.

I can't change my device with either unless I plug both in at the same time, both into seperate power slots. When I have only one cable in the charge light flashes on and off however if I put the Zaurus into suspend mode again with only one cable in the charge light stays on suggesting it is charging though I have not been able to determine if this is correct. The Zaurus charges fine with it's own power supply.

What reason could there be for this happening and is there any possible fixes?

Many Thanks,
Chris

I thought I noticed this too.

I think that when I was using the sync/power usb cable I was downloading quite a few packages, and the battery power never got beyond 71% and the charge light flickered on and off regularly.

But the Z is now sleeping beside the computer at the moment, and the charge light is steady amber.

This is odd becuase _sometimes_ it does appear to charge from the sync cable alone.

Is this a Zaurus issue or an OZ issue?
