Ical?
« on: June 08, 2005, 07:43:31 pm »
Anybody know of a calendar program that will sync with web based ical data?  I saw the mozilla calendar program when I had pdax installed.  I use the default sharp rom on a daily basis though.
What's this button do??

Barry,

There may be better solutions, but I have had success with using the OPIE version of Zaurus Calendar (the one that saves its data in XML)
and then using [a href=\"http://opie.handhelds.org/feed/unsupported/sharprom/stable/opie-datebook_1.0.3_arm.ipk]http://opie.handhelds.org/feed/unsupported...k_1.0.3_arm.ipk[/url]

And then use a perl program on your desktop which will log into the Zaurus, grab the XML file and convert it to iCal format. It is an old program, but it works (or did when I used it quite a bit last year).
The program is called evolution-sync.pl, and you may have to search around to find it (I don't have the URL handy at the moment).

As I said, there may be better solutions, but this one works.

I hope this helps,

Craig...
